The Kalamunda Community Garden is about to come to life with the support of the Shire of Kalamunda. The first busy bee will be held on Sunday 4th November 2012 at 1pm till 3pm. It is so exciting to see this venture come to reality as it will be another project to benefit the community. The plan is to hold workshops on a wide range of topics related to gardening and food production, as well as sustainability and on food storing as well as cooking. It will be heaps of fun and the plan is to introduce children to gardening, food raising and cooking too. There will be plots available for individuals to lease as well as community plots. It is the intention to follow organic principles as health is a big focus for the volunteers who have been working hard to bring this concept to life.
