Thoughts and observations from our trip to the USA and UK. Photos are from Chicago - lovely city in the summer.
The USA has changed dramatically in the last 12 months. Some of the changes that jumped out to me this month are:
In the past it has been extremely difficult to maintain healthy eating habits when travelling through the USA. This trip we found cafes selling healthy options, vegetarian options, organic coffee, gluten free options, and freshly squeezed juice.
People in the USA have grown so much larger!
Americans seem to be seeking a more authentic lifestyle - it appears they are tiring of their materialistic and unnatural society and crave a return to values.
On the other hand the UK appears to be seeking to modernise and shop assistants seem to be moving away from values of politeness and courtesy. I wonder if this is due to economic pressures or population pressures?
Next stop Poland.
